DENNIS Uniform (“DENNIS”) is excited to announce the move of their main warehouse and shipping facilities from the Central Eastside Industrial Area of Portland to Fort Worth, Texas, a location carefully selected after more than two years’ research and analysis alongside the expertise of an outside consulting team. Scheduled to begin this November, this move will help the company continue to increase its service to DENNIS customers, who are mostly situated outside the Pacific Northwest, as well as to DENNIS’ 40+ retail locations across the country. Relocating shipping operations to the geographical center of their customer base will allow for more efficient operations, faster shipping timelines and additional focus on customer care. DENNIS’ new warehouse in Fort Worth will also be a substantial upgrade over the Portland facility, which has a tight limit on space. While they are moving the shipping department and parts of their uniform decoration process to Texas, DENNIS is still maintaining some production in Portland, including work done by their cut-and-sew custom sizing experts. They have also offered a number of Portland warehouse employees the opportunity to move to Texas and work at the new facility.
DENNIS is committed to staying a Portland-based company, as they have remained for more than 100 years, weathering all kinds of challenges throughout the last century of business, from adapting to the demands of a world war, navigating upturns and downturns, a pandemic, serious supply chain obstacles as well as the ongoing adjustments required to operate in a quickly growing urban environment. DENNIS’ office on Hawthorne will continue to be the headquarters for the company and a base for their expanding teams, including Human Resources, Finance and Accounting, Customer Care, IT, Planning and Product Development. This new warehouse is just one of many upcoming investments DENNIS intends to make in order to improve customer experience.
DENNIS continues to thrive as a business because of their talented staff located both onsite in Portland as well as offsite around the country, serving students and families across the nation.
